Our client is an Online Retail company located in the West Midlands. Initially our client started off small but in the last 2 years, they have seen massive growth. They have become one of the most recognisable companies online. With nearly all of their business being online and in real-time, they are completely dependent on their IT infrastructure.
Solution
From supporting our client when they were a small outfit, to when the time came to expand their operations, the only option they wanted was to deal with us. Moving to a new warehouse and office building, our client required a whole new network to be designed and installed. We established from a meeting with our client, that they were going to be experiencing quite rapid growth, so our solution was designed with that in mind. Once we designed the cabling and deployed the solution, it was time to decide the hardware that we were going to use. We recommend our client invest a powerful server to manage the computers in the business, as well as for file storage. As our client put it, it was a wise choice to invest in the initial solution, as our client kept going from strength to strength. What started out as 10 users quickly became 50 users within the space of a year, with our solution facilitating that growth.
Because our client was going to be dealing with sensitive data, the security on the network would have to be high-end and cost effective. We gave our client a free trial of our gateway security solution. When they saw the amount of attempted attacks that it blocked, they decided to go with our solution. The device proactively defends the network against unwanted intrusions into the network and protecting against Trojans and spam. It also has web filtering capabilities, which restricts what content on the web is made available to users.
With many users on the network at any one time, our client also needed a high-speed broadband line with high stability and availability. We suggested that our client take a look the broadband solutions we provide. They opted to have a business class broadband line with low contention. Having low contention means that there are less people sharing the broadband line, which keeps the line availability and the speed high. Also our client was impressed that the price was lower than they expected for such a service.
